A smooth mermaid silhouette with a long train

The dress is built from dense smooth fabric that holds the line along the whole length of the body: the boat neckline lies evenly across the shoulders, shaped seams draw the volume in to the waist, and the hips stay outlined to mid-thigh. Below, the skirt opens in a soft flare, and as you step the lower part follows with a slight delay - the fabric catches up with the movement and settles again. The surface is matte, without shine, so sunset light reads on it as calm transitions rather than flashes.

The back is closed to the shoulder blades and fastened with a long row of covered buttons running straight down the centre line to the hip - a detail that sets the rhythm of the whole back and keeps the eye on your posture. The neckline behind repeats the same shallow arc as the front and leaves the shoulders and neck open. The train continues the skirt without a seam, spreads around in a wide circle with a wavy edge and, on the floor, looks like a piece of cutting in its own right.

This kind of minimalism is good where there is no extra ornament around: a terrace, a country venue, an evening ceremony at sunset. In the atelier the dress is fitted to the figure - from the neckline and the depth of the armhole to the seat at the waist and hip; we adjust the length for your heel, the train for the venue, and choose the shade of white from cool to warm ivory.

### What the price includes

We name the price of the work at the consultation, once the design is clear. Fabrics and trims are bought separately and itemised, so you can see how the price adds up. The final figure is fixed in the contract before the work begins.

### Can the design be changed

Yes. We make any model in your size, or take it as a starting point and build your own look - all the way to a sketch from scratch.

### Where the fittings happen

In our atelier at 50I Ligovsky Prospekt, St Petersburg. The consultation, the measurements and every fitting happen in person, by appointment.
