Bespoke wedding and evening dresses at FREYA atelier: your own measurements, 2-3 fittings, a transparent estimate and honest timings.

What bespoke means
The word bespoke comes from the tailoring houses of eighteenth-century London - Savile Row - and means "spoken for": a garment built from scratch for one particular person rather than picked from a ready-made range. We bring the same principle to wedding and evening dresses in St Petersburg.

Why you feel it in the fit and the result
- Your own measurements. We take a full set, not two or three "main" ones - the cut is built for your figure rather than masking it with a standard pattern.
- 2-3 fittings, not "sewn and handed over". A rough cut, a fitting on the living figure, corrections, the next fitting. The fit never stays "almost".
- Every detail chosen deliberately. Fabric, the shape of the corset, the length of the train, the neckline, the detailing - all discussed for your look, not taken from three ready options.
- A transparent estimate. Work under a contract with a fixed price: the labour separately, the fabrics and haberdashery separately - no surprises along the way.
- Honest timings. From 10 calendar days. Write to us or leave a request and we will confirm the exact timing for your dress.
- Everything in one pair of hands. Construction, cutting, tailoring and fittings - in our own workshop on Ligovsky, with nothing farmed out.
How we work
Consultations are open: at the first meeting we discuss the look, the measurements and the format of the fittings. Our designer sees her part not as carrying out an order but as shaping the look with you: "For me a dress is a feeling made material." Behind that philosophy stands a large base of trusted fabric suppliers and an extensive collection of patterns - so we can develop an exclusive model from your reference rather than offer three similar things from stock.
A ready-made dress and bespoke are different results
We build the process deliberately to rule out the familiar "nearly fitted" outcome: we do not pick the closest size in stock but cut to your measurements from the start and bring the fit home over two or three fittings. We do not limit the choice to three ready models - fabric, detailing, length and the shape of the corset are discussed individually. And we do not name an all-in price without detail: the estimate is always itemised in advance.
How it looks on one model
The Goddess dress (Blossom collection, A-line, lurex satin, a long train) shows our format plainly: the patterns are built to your measurements, and the fabric and detailing are chosen for your look.
If time is short, the collection holds ready dresses in stock - they can be tried on and taken away the same day.

Who it suits
Those who want a dress in a single copy, for their own figure and their own look, rather than a choice among ready models. If time is short, there are ready dresses in stock - and we fit those to the figure honestly too.
We will tell you how the process will look for your dress in particular - from the first meeting to the day itself.
Frequently asked questions
How is bespoke different from ordinary tailoring?
The dress is built from a blank sheet: patterns for your figure, not the altering of a ready base. You choose the silhouette, the fabric and the detailing - and the result is a dress no one else has.
What does it cost?
The cost is built around your model: the silhouette, the fabric and how elaborate the detailing is. Labour and materials are separate lines in the estimate. We name the price and the date at the consultation and fix them in the contract before the work begins.
How many fittings will there be?
Two or three fittings, included in the price. At each one the fit is refined directly on you, in the atelier.
How long does a dress take?
From 10 calendar days. Write to us or leave a request and we will confirm the exact timing for your dress.
